I didn't find that fact that Nick Cave was looking at them as strange as the fact that the Gas showroom stocked stereos as well as ovens. Unless they were gas powered stereos of course. The utility companies had just been deregulated at the time so were branching out. These days they are owned by Spanish or Dutch people I think. So they are probably allowed to give dogs blowjobs in the shadow of the windmills or blow cigarette smoke onto dried hams in overlit bars or something like that.
