Ferns and whatnot
Went up the river earlier… to where I used to live in a previous life. Another journey back in time. The birds still sound the same.
Neeeeeerrrrr nerdileee nerrr nerr, nerdileee nerrrr nerrr, nerdilee neerrr nerrrr they go. It’s not a human scale - it’s definitely a tune but there are all these notes that are like… between notes. Dodecatonic or something.
It’s probably not the same birds - in fact there’s probably been dozens of generations… but they’re still singing the same tune, and it’s quite a complex tune.
