Songs that are almost about shampoo

Nick Taylor | Uncategorized | Monday, March 31st, 2008

This one’s excellent, I don’t care what they say. This is the sort of song that if you wrote it, you could retire and live off the royalties forever. If you wrote it in the 70s.

Unfortunately, about 3 minutes in, the singy bloke decides that it would be best if he starts fucking about with the tune - which is something I’ve complained about before, but people never learn.

This one isn’t really a song, but it’s got a spinning dog in the background so like, whatever.

That chick’s sister looks exactly like Nat as well.

This one isn’t the one that’s about shampoo, but another one from the same record… which is better, in a camp sort of way.

I wrote a thing about Youtube being the new punk in my first ever guest posting, several years ago I think. I didn’t manage to keep the momentum of going with that one though.

I’m actually running three blogs and guest-writing on another one at the moment, and this is the only one that I ever get around to doing for some reason.

  2. One’s http://www.wankspanner.com , which I did when I thought it might be a good idea to become some sort of porn tycoon - and then a short while later I thought that actually maybe it wouldn’t be such a good idea, in fact it’s probably a fairly terrible idea even if I did know how to go about it, which alas, I don’t.

The other’s http://www.nutterwatch.com which is more sort of political - ie: me complaining about things… but then I decided I was actually a bit bored with complaining about things and everything seems a bit half-baked and ill-thought-through so I kindof drifted off in mid sentence with that one as well.

I still am quite interested in the subtleties and shifting patterns of propaganda and communication etc but I think maybe I need to shift the approach to something positive because the current discourse is exhausting. It’s a constant drain of energy trying to reason with idiots. This kindof sums it up http://xkcd.com/406/ horribly accurately.
